A note from the front office:

Please Use the Attendance Line (541-790-8822) for:

- Attendance
- Early pick-ups
- How your child is getting home if plans have changed

Do not use the front office number for attendance related concerns. Fabi WILL get the messages during the day, her phone has a blinking light and when it blinks she immediately checks the message. Again, Fabi WILL get the message, there’s no need for verbal confirmations - trust that she will get the message and appropriate actions will take place. Fielding phone calls for attendance can eat up a lot of time so thank you so much for supporting the front office by utilizing the tools at hand.

Attendance is recorded daily. When a child is late, they must check in at the office to get an admit slip before going to class. If your child will not be attending school, please call the attendance line, (541-790-8822) before 8:15 AM,  please do not call the Camas Ridge Office for attendance. If a child is absent, and the school has not received notification of the absence, the auto-dialer will call at 9:30 AM notifying the parents/guardians of their child’s absence. Parental notification of an absence will help us to account for each child in an efficient and timely manner.

Una nota de la oficina principal:

Utilice la línea de asistencia (541-790-8822) para:

Asistencia
Recogidas tempranas

Community Time Classes to Resume on October 21st!

We are excited to begin our Community Time classes this coming Monday, October 21st!

Community Time will occur from 1:50PM - 2:25PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Students will be dismissed from their Community Time classroom at the end of the day. We are asking students in grades K-2 to check in with their homeroom teacher before going home with a parent or guardian.

What is Community Time?

This multi-aged class provides us a cohesive and communal way to explore our Camas Ridge Triangle of Values. Community Time classes are comprised of students in all grades. Kindergarteners start participating in a Community Time group mid-way through the year. We mix social-emotional learning with academics, providing a forum for multiple perspectives and ages to engage in learning together.  From games, to writing, to discussions, to art, to experiments, to projects, to readings, we incorporate myriad activities to help foster a community with shared values.  And although each class has a different feel to it, we all follow the same scope and sequence of Triangle Values learning.

Please note that due to staffing changes from last year to this year, some Community Time classes have been rearranged.

Please fill out the form here to participate. Students can also bring copies of their photos to their classroom teacher. The Honor Wall will be created Friday November 1st and stay up for about a month at Camas Ridge. Please submit all photos by Wednesday, October 30th if possible!

Camas Ridge 24/25 Jog-A-Thon
The Camas Ridge Fall Fundraiser is HERE - Wednesday, October 9th!

DONATE TO SUPPORT CAMAS HERE

What is Jog-a-thon?
Jog-a-thon is a beloved Camas Ridge tradition and one of our school's largest fundraisers. It is a joy-filled, inclusive and supportive event where our kids and staff can walk, run, roll, skip or scoot together working to stay healthy and raise funds for our school community. The students get a set amount of time to move their bodies, doing laps on campus, activating their bodies in whatever way feels good!

The fundraising goal is $6,500 (about $30/student will get us there!), which will go directly into the Camas Ridge Community Organization's Camas Care Fund. These funds help pay for needed school supplies, field trips, art projects, Teacher Grants, books for the school library & so much more!

Donate what you can to support our students and school. In the past we have asked for pledges per lap and this year we are working on a more inclusive and simplified process where we just have a flat donation. Online donations are preferred but we are still happy to accept checks and cash donations. Checks and cash can be delivered to the locked box in the front office of the school or to your classroom teacher. Make Checks out to 'Camas Ridge Community Organization'.

Volunteers are needed to support during all grade blocks! Sign-up here to help.
